The seed carousel was developed in collaboration with a customer and is used for the fast and mix-free filling of trial seeds.

One operator can now accurately fill the quantity of trial seeds that previously required at least two people. In addition, the customer was able to reduce the error rate to almost zero.

It consists of a rotating container unit and a height-adjustable filling unit with platform scales. The container unit is fixed, while the filling unit is mobile. The machine is controlled via a touch panel control system with signal lights to indicate the operating status.

The filling carousel consists of a sturdy steel construction with a central column and feet. It has an integrated, driven rotary axis on which 10 containers with a capacity of 200 liters each are mounted.
The containers have a hinged lid with a handle, a large filling opening, a viewing window, and a manual outlet slide for continuous coarse and fine flow metering into the filling unit.

Two-hand operation via two position switches enables the containers to be positioned, and a QR code scanner identifies the respective container at the filling position.
